A lottery subscription allows you to play your favorite lottery and never miss a single draw. Once activated, entries to a draw will automatically be purchased on your behalf, using the balance on your lottery account or debiting your bank account.
Your lottery entry will be e-mailed to you as proof of purchase and with the best lottery sites in India, you will also receive an e-mail notification whenever you win. In other words, subscription is an automated and convenient way for regular seekers of luck to play the lottery online.

The Advantages of Lottery Subscriptions
There are two main advantages of subscribing to a lottery:
We already covered the convenience part. Tickets are automatically bought for you. You don’t have to visit the lottery site every week to buy a new one.
Discounted prices are another advantage. Having compared Indian lotto sites, Lottoland generally offers the cheapest ticket prices. However, when you subscribe to a lottery at Lottofy, you can get up to 29% discount which effectively makes this site the most cost-efficient one.
It’s important to note that not all lottery sites offer discounts on subscriptions. It is, however, common that they do. Either with a certain percentage or by giving you the Xth purchased ticket for free.
Top 3 Sites That Offer Lottery Subscriptions
Among legit and trustworthy lottery sites that we have rated and reviewed with Indian players in mind, the below are the top 3 ones that offer subscriptions.
|Lotto Site||Subscription Advantage||Billing Period||Unique Selling Point|
|Lottoland||None||Flexible||Jackpot hunt subscription*|
|Lottofy||16% – 29% discount||Weekly||Subscription on syndicates|
|TheLotter||Every 7th ticket free||Weekly||Real tickets scanned and received**|
* Jackpot hunt is a special subscription that ends as soon as the current jackpot of the lottery has been won.
** Most lottery sites offer lottery betting as opposed to receiving a real, scanned ticket.
How to Subscribe to a Lottery in 7 Steps
Subscribing to a lottery is easily done with the click of a button. Here’s a full breakdown:
- Visit a preferred lottery site that offers subscriptions.
- Sign up for an account providing the requested details.
- Deposit money using your preferred payment method.
- Head to the lottery section and choose a lottery to play.
- Pick the number of lines to play and your lucky numbers.
- On the same page, tick the box that says “subscription”.
- Add to cart and confirm to pay for your selection(s).
That’s it. Your payment will be made for the first week and then a running subscription will take place until you cancel it.
Do note that if the lottery has several draws each week, some lottery sites will allow you to choose which draws to enter. For instance, in the US Powerball, you don’t have to play all of the week’s three draws, but you can choose to only enter one or two of them.
How Will I Be Charged for My Subscription?
There are two ways to get charged for your subscription:
- Debited directly from your bank account
- Debited from your lottery account
While being debited directly from your bank account is the most convenient option, this only works if you register and pay with a debit card, such as Visa, Mastercard or RuPay. If you do, you never have to deposit any money to your lottery account.
However, if you prefer using UPI, NetBanking, Skrill, AstroPay or any other method to pay for a lottery subscription, you are required to first fund your lottery account. This is where you will be charged. If you don’t have any money on the account, no tickets will be bought for you.
The second option is somewhat inconvenient as you either have to deposit a large sum of money to your lottery account at once or regularly pay it a visit to deposit in order to have your subscription going.
When Will I Be Charged?
Generally, lottery subscriptions are charged on a weekly basis in advance. However, at Lottoland, you are able to change the billing period from weekly to every 2, 4, 8, 26 and 52 weeks.
Can I Cancel a Subscription at Any Time?
Yes. If you no longer want to subscribe to a lottery, simply log in to your lottery account and navigate to your profile. Here, you will find the option of canceling your subscription. If you can’t find it, just have a chat with customer support and they will help you out.
Will I Always Play the Same Numbers?
This will vary from one lotto site to another. For instance, at Lottoland, you will always play the initial numbers you have chosen. At Lottofy, on the other hand, you can opt in to have random numbers selected on each draw.
If you want to change numbers at any point, you can always cancel your current subscription and start a new one with new numbers.
Can I Subscribe to Lottery Syndicates?
While syndicate betting is a great way to increase your odds of winning by playing in a group with other players, subscribing to such an entry is usually not a possibility.
However, the exception to the rule is Lottofy which is a site highly focused on syndicates. At this site, you can subscribe to a syndicate the following way:
- Visit Lottofy, sign up for an account and make a deposit.
- Choose a lottery and select syndicate as your means of entry.
- Select the number of shares you want to purchase.
- Tick the box that says “Automatic renewal”.
- Click on “Purchase” to pay and to confirm the subscription.
Alternative to Subscriptions
Offered by most lottery sites, an alternative to subscriptions is simply paying for many draws in advance. When you purchase an entry into a lottery, you’ll be given the choice of just entering the upcoming draw or also entering several future ones that will occur (up to 52 at some sites). Similar to subscriptions, this often (though not always) come with a discount. For instance:
- Next draw: ₹150
- Next 5 draws: ₹640 (15% discount)
- Next 20 draws: ₹2,400 (20% discount)
