If you’re a Satta Matka enthusiast, chances are you’ve heard of Star Matka. It's a relatively new craze in the Indian lottery and gambling markets. However, there is no reliable information available on the internet. To help you understand the lottery better, we spoke with Matka experts who answered the top 6 questions for you.
1. What Is Star Matka?
Star Matka, like all other forms of Satta Matka, is a single-digit lottery.
It resembles the traditional form of the game, which involves betting on the possibility of two random numbers from 0 to 9 appearing in two rounds of drawing cards. The one who guesses the numbers correctly wins the game and becomes the Matka King.
The lottery usually runs twice every day at 1:30 PM and 2:30 PM. Results are declared by the organizers offline or published online on various Satta Matka websites.

Organizing or playing the Star Matka lottery could amount to a criminal offense punishable by the law. 3. How Is It Played?
The rules of Star Matka are similar to those of traditional Satta Matka.
Each game has two rounds – opening and closing or day and night. In each round, players bet on the possibility of a single number from 0 to 9 appearing. This number is the sum of the values from three playing cards that are pulled in the round.
For instance, if the three cards 1, 3, and 5 are picked during the opening round, the result for that round would be 1 + 3 + 5 = 9. The player who correctly guesses the number 9 would win the round.
Similarly, if the three cards 2, 6, and 9 are picked during the closing round, the result would be 2 + 6 + 9 = 17. Since this is a double-digit number, the last digit 7 would be considered for the final result.
The matka sequence for the game would be this:
1, 3, 5*9 X 7*2, 6, 9
Players would also be able to bet on the Jodi (pair) of the two digits, which is 97, and even on the full sequences of the three cards in each round.

6. What Are the Legal Alternatives?
There are two legal alternatives to Star Matka:
- International lotteries
- Matka-like online lotteries
You can play international lotteries such as the US Powerball, EuroMillions, EuroJackpot, MegaMillions, and Mega-Sena on legal online lottery sites that accept Indian players. We have mentioned the top lottery sites below. All you need to do is register, deposit, and buy the entries.
